To All The Boys I've :Loved Before by Jenny Han

The story is about a teenage girl named Lara Jean whom believed  that she had fallen in love with 5 boys (at different times. She’s not greedy). She wrote letters for each of the boys she fell in love with but never send it to them instead someone else did.
Lara Jean is a family girl. She was very close to her sisters and dad. Lara Jean and her sisters had always understood each other well. I guess that was why I was so caught with this book. The story was mostly connected to family, friends, boys and an innocent teenage girl who is facing a lot of first-times.
Then she came across with this boy named Parker again for some intentional reasons and also does Parker has his own reasons too. Parker was actually her first love. There is a backstory to each of why she fell in love with these 5 boys and to me, it was a pleasant thing to read.
To get closer to Lara Jean, I read the book again (like I would with my other books) and highlighted some phrases that I was drawn to.

1.
“I like to save things. Not important things like whales or people or the environment. Silly things. Porcelain bells, the kind you get at souvenir shops.”
When you are at your teenage years, you started to notice that the small things matters the most. Like in Taylor Swift’s song, Ours, one lyric goes
“I like that gap between your teeth”
Sometimes you treasure the smaller things more than the bigger ones.

 2.
“I can eat  my cereal and not wonder if he likes bananas over his Cheerios too; I can sing along to love songs and not be singing them to him”
My heart actually skipped a beat for a moment when I read this. Still do sometimes when I’m all sad mushy inside.

3.
I (literally me) fell in love with Peter at page 91.
I fell in love with him LOTS of time. You will too. Trust me.

4.
Peter gave something to Lara Jean at page 138. I pulled this moment close to my heart. It was something small but it was kinda everything. I don’t know about Lara Jean but I think she felt the same way too.

5.
At chapter 38 was the first time Peter told Lara Jean she looked pretty. My brain actually shut down for a second. Haha. It’s normal right? Right?

6.
“’If people knew you, they would love you.’ He sounds so matter-of-fact.
Josh, you break my heart. And you’re a liar. Because you know me better than almost anybody, and you don’t love me.”
The song Invisible by Taylor Swift came playing in my mind all of a sudden. The song really does explain the situation.  Josh was not a bad person. Not even close. You will love Josh just like how you will love Asher in The Selection by Kiera Cass.

7.
I smiled all the way through page 231. It was a I-will-lock-this-moment-in-my-heart-forever kinda thing.

 8.
“The little things are what make up life”
A guy could give me the most expensive Pandora ring in the world but if I was ever bothered to write a song about him, I would write about his bony fingers or his stupid face whenever someone phrases him because those are the things that made me feel like where protection is when the world is suffocating the life out of me.

9.
“I want to fall in love and I want a boy to fall in love with me back”
Don’t we all have this kind of thoughts at night? Or is it just me?
These are all the important quotes that made me felt connected me to the book even more. There are actually more but I usually write them again in my journal.

After I read this book, I learned that no matter what kind of girl you are, you will always have these kinds of thoughts before you became whoever you are today. These kinds of thoughts sometimes builds you, kills you and builds you over and over again.
